#68 | NetSuite Keyboard Shortcuts

“Little by little, a little becomes a lot.” This Tanzanian proverb is very much relatable to using keyboard shortcuts as it allows you save a few moments of your time. You may not notice it right away, but using NetSuite keyboard shortcuts contributes to your overall efficiency throughout a day’s work.

I suggest you watch the video. It’s easier to understand if you are a visual/audio learner. The content below is the same as the video. It’s for those who learn by reading.

Keyboard Shortcuts

Familiarizing yourself with some keyboard shortcuts will contribute to your overall efficiency. Below are two keyboard shortcuts to help you save time while navigating in NetSuite.

Search Bar

In the previous tutorial on NetSuite Global Search Bar, you’ve learned that it’s located on the homepage.

If you are working in a different window in NetSuite and want to search something without having to exit your current activity, just use this shortcut.

  • Hold down alt + G

Date Fields

When filling out the date, instead of using the calendar or date picker, you can just use the following shortcuts to apply the following dates.

  • Press M – for end of the month
  • Press T – for today
  • Shift + T – for tomorrow
  • Press Y – for yesterday

Filling out the Date

If you have a 10-key on your keyboard, you can also use the plus and minus keys when you are in the date section.

  • Press + to move the days forward
  • Press – to move the days backward

The number of presses you make is also the number of days to be moved. E.g. Press + twice to move the date two days ahead.
